Malaysia’s First-Ever RM300K PGM Women’s Championship is Here!

Ladies, polish those wedges and fluff your visors because history is about to be made, and you’re invited to be part of it!

This August 5–7, 2025, The Mines Resort & Golf Club will transform into the ultimate playground for lady golfers as the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) launches its very first all-women’s championship. And hold onto your visors as there’s a cool RM300,000 up for grabs, the highest prize purse ever for a women's tournament in Malaysia!

“This is more than a tournament—it’s a statement,” said a local amateur golfer we bumped into during a recent practice round. “We’ve been waiting for this kind of platform. Now, we get to shine just as bright as the men, and with flair too!”

Why This is a Big Deal?

More Opportunities - until now, many female golfers in Malaysia had to rely on mixed events or go overseas to get serious tournament experience. This championship finally gives our local talent a home ground to grow and show off.

RM300K Prize Pool - for context, most local women’s events rarely break the RM50K mark. This purse is five-star-worthy and screams, “We see you on the course, sis.”

Inspiring the Next Gen - young girls picking up clubs today need role models who look like them, and this championship sets the tone for a future full of fearless, fabulous female golfers.

Some of the ladies participating started right where we did - playing social games, bonding over birdies, and competing in cute-themed tourneys like “Raya Bling Glam” or “Pink on the Green.” Now, they’re stepping onto a national platform with major cash and career-changing opportunities on the line. Talk about goals and dreams.
